LOCATION
The venue is the Norths Rugby Club, Shaw Rd, Wooloowin.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The 320 and 321 are the nearest routes, though services are limited on weekends.
The nearest train station is Eagle Junction. We will shuttle people between the station and the fields on Sat morn! See details on the site; my number is 0411 835 750.

CAR POOLING
We hugely encourage car pooling, from environmental and partying perspectives! If you want a hand arranging a car pool, email me and we’ll see what we can do.
Hopefully, we’ll be able to use carpools to shuttle people into the city at the end of the party if needed (to continue the night, or get a cab/public transport), but we’ll see on the day.

Fees; Rego; What To Bring

FEE
The tournament fee has been locked in at $35.
Totally new players (never previously played organised Ultimate) receive a discount, paying $30 for the tournament.
This must be PAID IN CASH on Saturday morning. Please bring exact change (I won’t have much).

REGISTRATION
Check in will happen between 9 and 9:30 for those who’ve registered online.
We will also be able to register new people on the day (including AFDA sign-up). Please come from around 8:45 if you need to register or join AFDA.

WHAT TO BRING
Usual frisbee requirements: water bottle, hat/sunscreen, cleats (boots), disc.
Please bring a light (WHITE) and dark (BLACK) shirt, to distinguish teams each game.
We’re partying on-site, and there are showers at the clubhouse there, so bring a towel & your finest party clothes (“Red” theme!).

Guys and girls, there’s just over 2 days until the Muddle! Woot!
It’s all happened very quickly in these last couple of weeks; thanks for getting on board, and I look forward to making it a good day.

There’s going to be a bunch of posts pushed out in the next 24 hours. They’re also going to be sent as emails to the registered players.
They’re here to highlight key info that’s gone up on the website. It’s had plenty of changes in the last two days; check it all out!

A final reminder, registration is still open on Sat morning, in case you’ve got friends that you can convince to come on the day. Bring them along!

We’re going live!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Moreton Bay Muddle! New for 2011, I hope it fills a gap in the frisbee calendar for many people.

The aim of this tournament is to *have fun*. There’s been plenty of serious Ultimate lately, and kudos to our representative players, but we’ve missed out on tournaments for the sake of just enjoying frisbee. No longer :-)

As such, if you’ve just played your first league… if you’ve been throwing in the park with your frisbee-obsessed mates… or even if you’ve just been roped into coming down by your partner… The Muddle is the tourney for you! We’re really looking to make it friendly to all beginners, even completely new players.

 

This website is not yet finished. Some info hasn’t been updated, some isn’t finalised yet. Keep an eye on it, check it for information when you’re curious, but contact me if you can’t find the info here.

It’s all one big muddle, but we’ll make it into a sweet tournament. Be there.
